Welcome to 7th Grade Language Arts on Team Infinity

Get ready for a year filled with rigorous and relevant learning experiences guided by California’s Common Core Standards, featuring 21st century skills, and designed with college and career readiness in mind.

This course will be guided by the California Common Core Standards, which include four strands.

Reading - Students will read a wide variety of fiction and nonfiction texts, to include short stories, novels, poems, plays, and informational articles.

Writing - Instruction will focus on informative writing, persuasive writing, and narrative writing.

Speaking and Listening - Students will learn to effectively participate in group discussions, strengthen their oral communication skills, and create and deliver organized presentations with poise.

Language - Instruction will focus on vocabulary development, rules of grammar, and written conventions.
