    Art 24/7

This year-long course covers the process of making classic art studio projects as well as experiencing online art making. Students will demonstrate increased technical skills as they create original works of art using a variety of media. Students will be given the opportunity to explore visual design to draw, paint, and create logos online, as well as using the traditional tools for creating original art (such as pencils and paints)

Students study the historical contributions and cultural dimensions of the visual arts to develop an understanding of the meaning and import of the visual world in which they live in. Topics covered include: perspective (linear and atmospheric), symmetrical, assymetrical and radial balance, human figure and facial proportions, complex pattern/motif/zentangles, styles of architecture, shading techniques such as blending, hatching and stippling, describing characteristics of western and non-Western styles, as well as contemporary artists.
