I am so excited to welcome you to TK in Room 21 at Fuerte.  This is my eleventh year at Fuerte; 9 years in kindergarten and this is my second year in TK.  I have taught preschool, transitional kindergarten, kindergarten, first grade, third grade, fifth grade, reading intervention...all together, this is my 25th year of teaching.  I grew up in Spokane, WA and attended Washington State University - Go Cougs!  There I received a BA in Early Childhood Education and a BA in Elementary Education.  I moved to San Diego in 1999 with my husband and earned my MA in Reading Curriculum in Elementary Education from SDSU.  I have 3 boys who are all former Fuerte Falcons.  Rilen is now a sophomore at Valhalla and Braedy is a freshman at SDSU.  I am so proud to be a Fuerte Falcon!  I'm looking forward to a great year!!  (See below for "get to know me" fun facts and photos).
