I was born and raised here in San Diego and this is my 26th year of teaching. Teaching is one of my passions in life and I feel privileged to work at such an amazing school as Vista Grande. It is such a blessing to go to school each day and see sweet faces smiling back at me. With such committed and supportive parents, gifted and kind students, and a top notch staff, it is no wonder that Vista Grande is a CA Distinguished School.
I obtained my B.A. in Liberal Arts, as well as my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, from USD. I obtained my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from SDSU. I am CLAD and GATE certified. I have taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd and now 4th grade. I have truly enjoyed working with each of the different grade levels for different reasons.
I have three wonderful sons. My oldest is 25 years old. He graduated from UCLA, and is currently attending Columbia Law School in New York City. My second son is 21 years old and is attending Chico State, and my youngest is 19 years old and is attending UCSC. They all attended Vista Grande when they were in elementary school and loved it! When I am not teaching you can find me reading, shopping, biking, at the theater, or spending time with my husband, family or friends.
