I knew I wanted to be a teacher when I was in first grade. I loved everything about school and I still do. I am a San Diego native and a SDSU alumni. I have a Master's Degree in Elementary Reading and Literacy.

My passion is reading and literacy. I love watching and supporting the little ones with their reading development. My goal is to develop life-long readers that love to pick up books.   

I am married, I have two small children, and a pug. I love my little family. My daughter Maclairen loves art, music, singing, and animals. My son Dane gives me great insight into the world of boys. He loves baseball, swimming, waterpolo, and fast cars (just like his dad). I love to travel with my family, swim, garden, quilt, and read.

I am looking forward to working with you and your child this year. I am here to help you any way I can. I want this year to be a fun, positive experience for your child. Kindergarten is a year of magic and growth. My top priority is for your child to fall in love with school. Together we can make this happen.
