Welcome

  • Greetings!

I teach 6th grade math and science and 7th grade science.  I love Science, Engineering, and Technology!  And I am eager to pass my passion for STEM topics onto my students at Los Coches Creek.  I use hands-on activities and investigations that engage all learners.  Get ready for an exciting year!

    About Me:

My name is Angela Najera.  I am an East County native, growing up in Lakeside and El ÒõAPPµ¼º½.  I am a Vahalla alumni.  I graduated from SDSU with a BA in Liberal Studies and my teaching credentials.  I have a multiple subject credential, as well as a single subject credential in Science and a supplemental in English.  I have also obtained a Masters in Education.

Between teaching and being a mom of two, I am very busy.  My hobbies are gardening, crocheting, and macramé.  I absolutely adore all types of plants!  I am currently obsessed with orchids.  You will find my classroom has a lot of green things growing.  I also love animals.  I have 4 cats, 3 lizards, many fish, a box turtle, and 2 snakes.  I keep my reptiles in the classroom.

I have been teaching for over 16 years.  I have taught grades 4 through 8, but middle school grades are my favorite.  Before coming to LCC, I taught at Emerald and Greenfield.

    Parent Communication:

I use Google Classroom for assignments and communication to students.  I will also send home periodic emails with important classroom news.

Please contact me if you have questions or concerns. Email is best. : )
