Amber LeClerc
Hello! My name is Amber LeClerc and I teach 4th and 5th grades at Naranca Elementary. I attended San Jose State University where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. After graduating college, I taught Kindergarten for two years at a public school in San Jose, California. While I enjoyed my time teaching in San Jose, my husband and I decided to relocate to sunny San Diego in August 2017. This is my third year working for ÒõAPPµ¼º½ Valley Union School District, and my second year at Naranca.
As an educator, I am passionate about by commitment to my students. Through the development of an innovative curriculum, I aim to engage my students and inspire their curiosity. Additionally, I am passionate about creating an equitable curriculum that caters to the strengths of students and support their diverse needs.
My dedication for teaching goes beyond the classroom. I have great humility in knowing that I serve a purpose greater than myself. Teaching provides me with the opportunity to create a positive lasting effect on how students learn and appreciate their education.
In addition to teaching 4th and 5th grades at Naranca, I also help coach several after school clubs. These clubs include Lego Club, TEDx Kids Club, and Girls on the Run.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time outdoors soaking up the California sunshine. I enjoy hiking, and spending time at the beach.
