Hello! My name is Nikki Botts and I am so lucky to be able to teach 2nd grade at Naranca Elementary! I'm originally from Ohio and moved to San Diego eight years ago when I married my husband, Ryan. I received my undergraduate degree from Ohio University, where I majored in both International Business and Marketing, as well as received a minor in Spanish.

After working in a traditional office setting for several years and volunteering with children in a variety of capacities, I felt called to shift career paths to teaching. I went back to school and received a Masters of Arts in Teaching with a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and an Education Specialist Instruction Credential (Mild/Moderate Disabilities) from Point Loma Nazarene University.

The best part of my job is getting to interact and build relationships with the amazingly diverse community of El ÒõAPPµ¼º½. My heart is happy getting to learn about and celebrate both cultural differences and similarities. I feel privileged to help educate my students both as people and as mathematicians. 

When I'm not teaching, I enjoy going to the beach, volunteering with my favorite Weimaraner rescue, exercising, and being with my family.
